Emily Cracknell (She/Her)
Birth & Postpartum Doula
My name is Emily, and I am a Birth & Postpartum Doula serving SLO County & Northern Santa Barbara County. I believe in empowering women to cherish their bodies and their ability to create life. I implement the philosophy of "mothering the mother" into all my services. I am passionate about encouraging Mothers and their families to achieve the pregnancy and birth they desire with the education and support they deserve. I specialize in essential oil use and hypnobirthing. I aim to provide clients with a better understanding of informed consent, be given evidence-based knowledge, and build a village to encourage, celebrate, and care for you and your family.
Sheryl Gross (She/Her)
Mom, Doula, IBCLC
My name is Sheryl Gross. My favorite role ever was mother to my 2 beautiful daughters who are now grown women. Their births inspired me to be a support to other families in their journeys. After years of helping friends with their babies, I became a Doula in 2016 and then an IBCLC in 2019 so I could use my passion to help other families.
Ashley Daoust
Doula
Hi, I’m Ashley Daoust. I am a certified doula and babywearing educator and have been passionate about family planning, birth and postpartum for all of my life. Witnessing the birth of my brother, and having been drawn to caring for my mother when she was pregnant with him - at just five and a half years old - really laid the path for my desire to serve families later on. It has been an honor to walk that path off and on for 20 years; solidly serving the Central Coast as a doula and babywearing educator for the past 3 years. Last year my path shifted to serving the community in another way: as a surrogate for a local family, which happened to be a past doula family of mine. I brought my surro baby earth side mid-October of 2022 and it was an honor to be the vessel that completed their family. I have been enjoying my permanant sabbatical from birth work so I can shift my focus toward other passions. Additionally, I have been a mother for over 20 years and am Noni to my sweet grandbabies. I have been a PTA/PTO member for 16 years and have served on the executive board as secretary collectively for just under a decade for those organizations. I am excited to parallel that role with Central Coast Childbirth Network and work alongside amazing people who share the same passion and vision in serving families in our area and beyond.
