Hey! My name is Dena and my passion for photography comes from the intense love for my family and my M O T H E R H O O D community. You see, once you become a mother, your life is completely altered. There are some rough patches here and there, but there is this new person that is born. You are now your child greatest protector, their person they laugh with when they're being tickled, who cuts the crust off all of their sandwiches, takes them to see their first concert, watches all of the Blip episodes on repeat, teaches them how to put up their ponytail, study for their Friday History test & the list goes on. These are the moments I live for everyday!

Firstly, I am a wife and a mother to our two beautiful children. The intense rebirth that I personally experienced after becoming a mother myself was life changing.
I always knew birthwork would be in my future. After becoming a certified doula, I dove deep and pondered for years exactly where my role would be as a birth worker & how I could best serve our community.
I have also always loved being behind the camera and taking photos of my children, capturing our real life moments. Which years later has lead me to combining my two passions: birth work & photography, which now has beautifully birthed Solstice Birth Photography.
I have a passion for capturing the sheer raw strength and beauty of women bringing their baby earthside. My goal is to peacefully capture moments for you to look back on and pass down to your children.
