Wow, what an incredible weekend! The CCCN Expo at The Spotted Whale Consignment Sale on November 8-9, 2024 was a tremendously successful weekend for the Expo, and we are beyond excited to share the highlights with you! This year marked our 6th Expo and our third amazing collaboration with Maryanne and Amanda at The Spotted Whale, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out.
A Big Thank You to Our Volunteers!
First off, let’s give a HUGE shoutout to our volunteers—this event wouldn't have been possible without your time, energy, and dedication. From welcoming families to helping vendors set up, pouring coffee, and creating our resoruce bags, you were the heart and soul of the Expo. Your support created a welcoming and organized space for everyone to enjoy, and we are so grateful for everything you did to ensure things ran smoothly.
A Family-Friendly Event for All!
We were thrilled to welcome over 1,000-1,500 attendees who came together to experience the amazing resources, services, and products provided by our 16 wonderful vendors and 3 generous sponsors. Families enjoyed a day full of fun, learning, and community-building all while shopping at SLO County Counties Largest Consignment Sale. Did you know that donated items by the consigners are distributed to local children and famliy agencies in need after the event? We are so grateful to collabaorte with Amanda and Maryanne at The Spotted Whale. Our kid’s activity table was a big hit, with stickers, sibling coloring pages, and books from the SLO County libraries keeping the little ones entertained while parents explored the event.
Vendors, You Rock!
A special thank you goes out to our incredible vendors, whose participation truly made the Expo shine. You brought your best to the table—literally!—and your presence created an atmosphere of collaboration and support that everyone appreciated. We heard from so many attendees who loved seeing you all connect, share your knowledge, and build relationships with one another. It’s this sense of community that truly makes the CCCN Expo special, and it’s something we all cherish.
Community Support and Generosity
A huge thank you to our sponsors: First 5 SLO, Dignity Health Central Coast – French Hospital, and Adventist Health Central Coast. Impactful supporters of our event also inlcuded, SLO County Supervisors Gibson, Ortiz-Legg, and Paulding. Your support helped make this event a reality, from offsetting venue costs to helping provide resource bags, giveaways, and more. And let’s not forget the delicious coffee from Greenhouse Coffee Co., which was a perfect pick-me-up for all our attendees! We also received many donated items for our giveaway basket, and gave away over 100 event bags from First 5 SLO, filled with helpful information and resources for families.
What Attendees Had to Say
Feedback from attendees highlighted how impactful and fun the event turned out to be. From the wealth of resources available to the opportunity to connect with local businesses and services, families left feeling supported and inspired. We were so happy to hear that the Expo provided a much-needed space for learning, fun, and building community connections.
