CCCN EXPO Highlight 2025

More than 1,000 people attended a vibrant, family-friendly event filled with connection, education, fun, and support for growing families.

Wow, what an incredible weekend! The CCCN Expo at The Spotted Whale Consignment Sale on May 9–10, 2025, was a tremendously successful weekend for the Expo, and we are beyond excited to share the highlights with you! This year marked our 7th Expo and our fourth amazing collaboration with Maryanne and Amanda at The Spotted Whale, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out. This two-day celebration wasn’t just an event but a movement rooted in community connection, support, and care.

Elevating Birth and Wellness

The weekend brought together a powerful cross-section of the immersive experience through the CCCN Expo and The Spotted Whale Consignment Sale—all in one space, sharing resources, wisdom, support, and a shopping experience. From expecting parents to growing families to new and seasoned providers, every attendee walked away with something meaningful.

It was a one-stop event for trusted pregnancy, postpartum, wellness resources, and shopping.

We also had three crowd-favorite food trucks:

One unforgettable highlight was an interactive drum circle hosted by Dee of Mindfulkindful YOUniversity#cccnmember. This space offered a soulful, sound-based experience beginning in the prenatal period and extending into everyday life at home with the little ones. It was a rhythmic reminder of the healing power of sound, community, and intention.

Powered by Volunteer Heart and Collective Effort

Behind the scenes, the wonderful event was made possible by 57 hours of volunteer service. Volunteers included CCCN members, our CCCN team, and enthusiastic Cal Poly students and interns. From event set-up and tabling to packing resource bags, supporting families, and leading cleanup, their hands and hearts shaped every moment of this experience.

The children’s activity table, supported by Cal Poly volunteers, was busy with laughter, creativity, and learning. Children engaged with sibling-themed coloring pages, playful stickers, and beautifully curated bilingual books from the San Luis Obispo County Library—offering welcoming and accessible moments for every family member.

Gifts That Give Back

To encourage deeper connection, we introduced a Vendor Passport—a fun and interactive way for attendees to explore each booth and enter to win one of two generously curated giveaway baskets. Each basket was filled with baby essentials and self-care items donated by our incredible community partners and CCCN Members:

  • Endless Designs by Tobin

  • East West Wellness Center

  • Bloom & Doh

  • Rose Alchemista Holistic Skincare

  • Zabrina Cox LLC

Their generosity reflected the spirit that fueled the entire event: care that extends beyond the moment and wellness that ripples outward.

With Gratitude to Our Sponsors and Supporters

The Expo was made possible through the support of our partners and sponsors:

  • Dignity Health French Hospital-Event Sponsor

  • Adventist Health-Event Sponsor

  • First 5 San Luis Obispo County (provider of our beautiful resource bags)

  • San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors: Bruce Gibson, Jimmy Paulding, and Heather Moreno

Your commitment to families and community wellness brings these experiences to life.

What’s Next? You’re Invited to Be Part of the Future

We are already dreaming bigger for next year. We are building bridges between families and providers because when care is connected, communities flourish.

If you are a birth or wellness provider, now is the time to join our network and help shape the future of family support on the Central Coast. If you believe in this work and the power of collective care, consider a donation to fuel our ongoing mission.

Together, we are building more than events—we are building a thriving, supported, and informed community.

Let’s keep going. Let’s keep growing. Let’s keep showing up—together.

See you in May 2026,

The CCCN Team
